I have a warm and inquisitive nature and understand the importance of building a good therapeutic relationship. I provide a safe and respectful space taking a collaborative approach with clients and encouraging people to build on their own resilience and resources.

I offer generic counselling and specialist counselling, working from welcoming, comfortable and private rooms in central Exeter.

Sometimes life is challenging and people can feel confused lost and in pain. I feel passionate about supporting people through what can be truly difficult times.

I aim to enable people to gain hope, purpose and motivation, working towards establishing the changes we can make but also accepting the things we cannot change

I will be there beside you, helping to empower you to start understanding problems with more clarity and to develop skills to overcome difficulties.

I currently divide my time between private practice and working in the public sector at an NHS gender identity clinic where I support individuals & families through the process of transitioning

My work at the gender clinic has included carrying out assessments and running support groups in addition to providing psychosocial support and specialist counselling.

Previous clinical mental health settings within the NHS include The Counselling Service with referrals from the Depression and Anxiety Service in Newton Abbot and the Torbay Mental Health Assessment Team.

I have a wealth of experience working with people with a variety of mental health challenges and associated difficulties including personality disorders, Autism, ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Gender incongruence and dysphoria

As a fully qualified professional counsellor I am both registered and accredited with The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) which means I adhere to their Ethical framework.
